      • Song Choice - I'm His Only women - The song is about two women who is romantically involve with the same guy. and one day one of them calls the other explaining to her that they have the same boyfriend. The song is mainly performance based however my partner and we have decided that we will include a bit of a narrative. 
      •  My idea's came from my cases studies as all three case studies are from the R&B genre. The video's i choose for my case studies are performance bases with a little bit of a narrative.  The First two videos (Burn & We Belong togather ) from my Case studies portray a lot of emotions which is what my partner and I would like to grasp in our video however we both decided we didnt want to make the video too cliche.
      •  The length of the song is 4 mins and 17sec long which is just above the standard length for a song/video.
      • Audience -  From my case studies I realised that even though these songs are more relatable to the older generation and typically talk about sex and relationship, you will generally find young youths age 16- 25 are that engage in these song the most especially 16-18.
      •  The Channel for broadcast would be Youtube as everyone has access to it.
      • So far we haven't seen any ethical consideration 
      • locations; Living room studio

Today Lesson.. Initial Ideas

In Today's lesson I paired up with Rema in my class as we both had similar idea's for a music video. We Talked about different song within the R&B Genre.Here are a few of the songs we both came up with;

  • I Choose You-Kiana Lede
  • I'm His Only Woman- Jennifer Hudson ft Fantaisa
  • Hurt You- Toni Braxton 
  • Love Shoulda Brought You Home - Toni Braxton
We really struggled with these songs as we were unable to visualize them all.We then manged to bring our options down to two: "I Choose You" & " I'm His Only Woman".   After much deliberation we decided that we would use "Im His Only Woman" has it was seen as more appropriate for the task as " I Choose You" is 2min 33secs long which isnt long enough.

I enjoyed filming this Lip Sync Task as it gave me the opportunity to refresh my brain on how to edit and how to use the camera.

Strengths
  • The Lighting was really good 
  • The Lip Sync was on point 
  • We had a lot of good angles
  • Editing was fairly good 

Weakness 
  • The Video was only 30 secs long
  • We Only Filmed in one location 
  • Didnt have enough footage 
  • werent really organized 
Things need to improve on 
  •  Organization Skills
  • Editing skills
  • Make sure to film enough footage
  • film in a different locations

In today's lesson I worked in a group of three, to shoot a short lip sync music video. The fish product should be roughly a min long. It will include;
  • Close up
  • Mid shot
  • Long Shot
It will be edited to together using appropriate cutting rate according to the beat/rythm. We only shot in one location which was outside on the school football pitch, however we  at different angles

In today's lesson we had  informal introduction/ reminder as to how to use the camera. We learnt about the different video setting and how to control the lighting;depending on the weather on the day. We were different  aspects of the camera e.g. we learnt about the camera shutter what it is and how to control it and the aperture of the camera swell as the ISO on a camera. We also learnt how to zoom and how to put the camera on the tripod

Some of the descriptions of what I learnt today(in my own words);

  • Shutter is basically a curtain in front of the camera sensors that stays closed until its been you put the camera on shutter mode, when the camera, the shutter opens and fully exposes the camera sensor to the light that passes through the lens aperture. The shutter speed is how long the camera shutter is open to expose light into the camera sensor.
  • Aperture,The aperture is a small set of b;ages that controls how much light will enter the camera, a wide open aperture will result to a brighter video and shallow depth of field . Small aperture results to a darker video and  a full depth of field.
  • ISO(International organisation for Standardisation) this controls the exposure by using a software in the camera to make the light extra sensitive. A high ISO e.g. 1600  will produce a brighter video than a lower ISO of 100. When increasing the the ISO it ca make the video nosier; digital noise is then the video looks grainy. High ISO = Bright video, more noise and on the scale of 1600 -3200. Low ISO=  Darker Video, less noise and on the scale of 100 to 200

In today's lesson I created an virtue online production schedule to help me keep up with deadlines. I created this on google calendar as I believe it is more convenient as I will not only be getting constant reminder when I logon  but I will be getting them on my phone as well.
